The De Soto Teachers' Association serves its members among the certified staff of USD 232 and is affiliated with KNEA.
The De Soto Teachers' Association is committed to serving its membership by advocating for a strong and effective public education system, defending the interests of educators, and celebrating the accomplishments of all its staff.
We believe that the most important factor in the success of every student is the staff who interact with those students every day, and we will work to ensure that all educators have the support they need to educate the "whole child" in every student who walks through their door.
The De Soto Teachers' Association awards a $400 scholarship to one student each from Mill Valley and De Soto High Schools each year. Look for the application form here in January.
Our Association is only as strong as its membership. Your fellow teachers would love to count you as a member. Click here to access an online enrollment form so you can become a member of DTA today!

Each year, the De Soto Teachers' Association recognizes an outstanding certified staff member in each building who is professional, considerate, friendly, helpful and gives extra of themselves and their time.
The winner is determined in each building by a vote of the certified staff in that building and will have their name engraved on a plaque in the main office. Additionally, DTA awards two $400 scholarships to graduating seniors from each high school in honor of the Teachers of Excellence that year.
