In the November 7 general election, four of the seven seats on the USD 232 Board of Education will be up for election.  All voters will vote for all four seats.

• For Position 1, incumbent Bill Fletcher is running against Chad Philhour.
• For Position 2, incumbent president Ashley Spaulding is running against Greg Withrow.
• For Position 3, incumbent vice president Stephanie Makalous is running against Henry Sandate.
• For the at-large Position 7 to replace Rick Amos, Andrew Jacober is running against Anh-Nguyet Nguyen.

Our quality public schools have traditionally been one of our region's greatest resources, and the Board of Education plays a significant role in helping us maintain our standard of excellence in USD 232.  We encourage all voters to educate themselves about each candidate.  To that end, the De Soto Teachers' Association has prepared a questionnaire and given each candidate the opportunity to publicly share their views on issues important to teachers, parents, and students.  We hope you will take the opportunity to review the candidates' responses in order to make a informed choice on November 7.  Please remember to vote!
